The Strathcona Hotel located in heart of downtown Victoria has been family owned and operated since 1946. What began with a few chairs and a lot of ambition has grown to over 1200 licensed seats in 10 venues on 5 different levels.

Our aim is to achieve a truly unique and complete entertainment center. One can dine on gourmet cuisine or traditional Olde-English pub fare, enjoy local micro brewery or international beverages, play billiards or darts, watch a live concert or play beach volleyball. All this, combined with authentic memorabilia and good old-fashioned hospitality.

With it's roots dating back to the beginning of the 1900's The Strathcona Hotel has been a Victoria landmark for almost a century now. Over the years there have been many changes but one thing remains the same, The Strathcona Hotel's dedication to serving the Victoria community. Originally constructed in 1913 as an office building it was open for only one year before being called upon to serve Canada as an Officers barracks during the first world war. Because of the renovations needed to convert the then office space to living quarters once the war ended the doors were reopened to the public and in 1918 The Strathcona Hotel was born.
